“Who is hiding what?” Ace asks as he steps into the door, opening it further.
The light falling from the hallway hits us ungently, making me blink against it.
“Can you please make him close the door? I don’t want to talk to him,” I whisper to Kai, laying back down to blend Ace out.
Kai gets up and closes the door without saying anything to his brother.
Sitting up, I look at him as he turns around, putting his hands into his pockets. “There is something I need to tell you.”
“What is it?” I ask feebly, my voice nearly failing me.
He clears his throat, pinching his bottom lip. “Cayden told me that a few members of the royal pack, including the Judge, will be coming onto the pack grounds. He told me that he was high-spirited and that there could be a reason for it.”
