I carried Marabella outside to the vehicle so that we could go home. I am angry with her right now. She put herself in danger by coming to save me. But she was also extremely successful at it. She even got Serg out alive. I know because I am staring at him right now. He's sitting in the back of an SUV getting his wounds treated.
"Are you mad at me?", Mara whispered against my neck. I sighed as I held her head to my shoulder. I can't be mad at her. She saved me and my brother, and she just found out some devastating news.
