I heard the bedroom door open and Cal speak, "What the hell was that?", he snapped. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I accidentally knocked over the lamp while I was changing the sheets", a female voice said. It was the maid from earlier, Brianna. "I thought you told the staff not to send her anymore", Mara snarled under her breath.
The air was instantly palpable in the bathroom. Marabella was pissed. "I did", I confirmed with her. Marabella inhaled sharply, making her nostrils flare. The pure fury coursing in her veins flowed off of her in waves, as she gripped the sides of the tub and stood straight up.
