I have a sickening feeling today. I'm not sure why, but I didn't want Mara to leave my side today. My stomach is in knots and I haven't been able to focus all day. It's noon and I'm sitting in this stupid board meeting, as I wait for a message from either Mara or Rex that they made it home safely.
"What do you think, boss?", Trenton said. He's the head of the HR department. I have no idea what the hell is going on in this meeting, like I said, I've been distracted. "About what?", I asked. As soon as the words left my mouth, my phone lit up with a phone call from Rex.
