Iris' POV
'Did you love her?' I asked Sean after he told me about his past. He had sounded so bereft that I felt sure he must still care about his first love, Lila Martins.
I felt sorry for all he passed through as a child but there was also another emotion, which I didn't care to investigate deeply.
'Your turn, tell me about yourself', he requested. I had known that he would ask that but somehow I didn't want to tell him but he had been very forthcoming about himself, so we I decided to get it over with. Moreover, it was not a secret what I passed through in my marriage to Adrian.
I narrated my story as briefly as I could but I could see that it had touched him deeply.
'Do you still love him?' he asked now and it was uncanny how his question seemed to echo mine.
'I don't love him
