Harper’s POV The clearing is quiet and calm this morning, just what I needed. Warm sunlight seeps in from above the trees, creating a peaceful glow across the lagoon. Early morning mist still hangs in the air, making the grass wet beneath my bare feet. I stretch, inhale deeply, and try to steady myself. Today is the hearing.
