Riverdale 2001 On a stormy night, a little girl was running on the streets, not minding the pouring rain. She was crying and trembling because of the cold and of fear. She was shouting for help, asking the cars passing by to stop and help her. " Help! Please help me!" She shouted at the deserted road. Then she saw a car coming her way, she ran in the middle of the street and braced herself for the impact if ever the driver will not stop. She was almost run by the car if the driver was not too quick to step on the brakes when he saw her on the road. He opened his car window and shouted at the girl. "Are you crazy little girl? Do you want to die?!" He shouted at the girl angrily. " Please, Mister, help me!" cried the little girl and went closer to the window, trembling. The man saw that the little girl is covered with bruises and wounds, so he was alarmed. He took the umbrella and went out of the car. " What is your name?!" Asked the man. " Gah- Gabrielle, but you can call me Gabby," answered the girl in a trembling voice. So he took off his jacket and put it around the girl's small body. " Gabrielle, that is a lovely name, now tell me, Gabby, what happened to you? Why do you have bruises and wounds? Who did this to you?" asked the man. " Please, mister, come with me to our house, please, we must hurry! Call the police or anybody, please! My mom, my dad!" begged Gabby. So the man went with Gabrielle to their small house by the hills. Gabrielle was running ahead with fear in her eyes and worry. When they arrived, the whole house was dark and quiet. The door was wide open, but no sound can be heard. Gabrielle was shouting, calling her mother, but no one answered. The man held back Gabrielle and told her to stand behind him as they entered the house slowly. He looked for the switch to turn the lights on, and what they saw when the lights are finally on shook them to their core. A body of a woman was lying on the kitchen floor with a pool of blood. Gabrielle shouted and fainted when she saw her mother bathe in her own blood, lifeless.
