Something cool and wet moves across my forehead. I wince at the sting, suddenly aware of just how sore I am. I feel like I got hit by a freight train. Every breath feels like someone is trying to pull my lungs out. I make some noise like a cough mixed with a groan as I will the pain to subside. "Avery?" The cloth stops moving, as a warm hand presses gently to my cheek. I groan as I force my eyes to open, squinting to see Lana clearly. Her head hovers above mine. "Thank God, I was starting to worry." She says, sighing a breath of relief as she presses the cloth to my face again. I push her hand off of me, and try to sit up.
