Ava's P.O.V In that second that I took my eyes off of Thomas... he had covered the boy's head with sand... Hudson and the mother of the boy and I dug frantically to get the boy out. He gasped for breath, choking on the sand as he took big gulps of air... I looked behind me at Thomas, and he had no expression whatsoever on his face, like what he did was nothing. "You should teach your kid how to play or don't bring me out where he is a danger to others!" The mother yelled at us as she carried her crying boy away... Tears welled up in my eyes... what if we hadn't seen? Would Thomas just leave the boy there? I stood motionless. I couldn't believe what had just taken place... people whispered all around us, but I couldn't make out a single word too engrossed in what if's to even care about
