Jemson had overheard a conversation Conner had with someone over the phone... He thought that Hudson and I only took Thomas and him in because we wanted revenge on his mother, but I assured him that that wasn't the reason why we decided to take them in. I explained to him that no matter what his mother had done, they weren't to blame.
