“Your store is adorable! I love it,” Anabella squealed, her eyes lighting up with each new thing she saw.
“I love your arrangements. I’m sure you and my boss would get along.”
“She must have great taste,” I said. “What’s the event exactly?”
Anabella pushed strands of her bright orange hair behind her ear and smiled.
“Events!”
“What?”
“Yes! If the first event goes well, then I’ll use you for all the other events she’s having in the next couple of months.”
I bit the inside of my cheek. Consistent work for the next few months would be huge for me. I might even quit my job at Reaper's Point. I have already reduced my hours since this place opened.
