"Oh, shit." I woke up to a nudge in the ribs. "Dude? Can you help me?" "Huh?" I stretched. I looked down at my pale hands and scarred tummy and was almost disappointed by what I saw. I ran my fingers through my hair, wondering if the sun had bleached my hair a little more or if it was still almost brown with grease. It took me a second to reaccustom myself with the scenario: beach. Handsome, naked, stranger. My whole old life up in smoke. "I was supposed to catch dinner. And I, uh, forgot."
