 "No!" I shouted, but it was muffled and came out as a strange, garbled sound. Nico's eyes were narrowed and angry, he wouldn't look at me.   "What does that mean?" Nico said, his eyes cold and his mouth settling into a harsh line.  "Well," Seth said, "it means I want a proposal. It means that if we divorce, I get half. And God forbid we get a divorce, I don't think that'll end well for your mate." He said it with a sing-song sneer. It made my heart dive into my stomach.   "If that's the price—" "NO!" My voice became a scream. I couldn't let him do that. I'd licked boots to save my bakery, my bakery was my everything.
