I felt like an actual ornament. Clothed in the most absurd dress I’ve ever owned, powder blue— my favorite color to appease me, puffy and far too long but still thankfully moveable. But it wasn’t the dress that was making me uncomfortable. It was the amount of jewelry on me. I literally jingled when I moved. From my hair where crystals seemed to magically stick to, to my ears that felt incredibly heavy, to my neck that had more than everything else, the entire length of my arms and my legs, my stomach nearly studded with gold and my feet, my toes too.
