It started with a k i d n a p p i n g, and it continues with another k i d n a p p i n g… He was meant to k i l l her. He didn’t plan to fall in love. She was meant to hate him. She didn’t plan to find goodness in him. He is a Werewolf Hunter seeking revenge. She is a Werewolf Princess trying to find her way in life. Things take an unexpected turn when these two meet and another k i d n a p begins. Misery does love company, after all. ~~~ Werewolf Hunter Prologue Her name is Damienne Krul. Princess Damienne Krul. Named after the Heir to the Werewolf throne, Damien Krul, before he was brutally murdered by his twin brother— who just so happens to be her father, the current King of the Werewolves. The royal family’s history is bloody, dreadfully wicked and filled with death and despair. Blood seeped through their names, their skin, their souls. It oozes off them disgustingly, seeing more deaths wherever they go. But let’s not forget that she is also a Rhys. A f u c k i n g Rhys. The golden. The perfect. The worst. They were snakes. Leeches. Poisonous traitors. More horrible than the Kruls. Murderers in their own right— the absolute worst of the werewolf kind, hiding behind a new name... hiding behind the name of Kings. Did they think everyone forgot? Did they think the past had been forgiven? Did they think all was well? No. It wasn’t. And it never will be. Her family’s corruption will never fade. It flowed every day, building and building until the right time. Damienne. She was just like the rest of them. They say she inherited all the bad traits of her parents and wielded them like a weapon she brandishes without a care in the world. Proud. Dangerous. Spoiled. Her tongue is often too sharp for her own good. Her eyes were too observing and all knowing. Her attitude overbearing and intense. She had no fear. She had nothing to fear. She is the worst of them. And she will pay. Like all of them will. Personally ending her was my goal. It was something I was more than happy to do. I just didn’t realize… I just didn’t realize how difficult it would be. She and her twin were born with over three hundred million on their heads. Three hundred million each. And now that they’re older, that bounty has only gotten larger through the years, reaching billions. I intend to claim that bounty. I intend to ruin her and take what's long overdue. Hired to infiltrate, kidnap and kill her. It was easy enough. I have done it many times in the past and I have killed many more. What made it easier is that she is a monster, raised by monsters, yet I didn’t realize monsters could be so… so… different from the nightmare I pictured in my head. This is not how it was supposed to go. I’ve never failed a job before. I wasn’t going to fail now. Not ever. Not for her. Never for her. Not for a dirty, traitorous, perfect Rhys. I can't. I won't. There is too much at stake. Yet I couldn’t deny that watching her, as my target, never felt so gratifying and addicting. Though it is my job to do so, I can’t seem to look away even if I wanted to. She is a curse. The manifestation of sin. And I have to break her before she breaks me. Because I know she will. She’s broken everything else.
