The reality is, I’ve been told worse. Growing up and forced to be among other children outside our family, I never really mixed well with them. I was polite when needed, spoke only when absolutely necessary, but otherwise was unreachable to all. That’s how my father wanted it and that’s how I did it. Many vile things have been said to my face and worse when it’s behind my back, but father always saw it as a way to train us, to steel our hearts and to keep our emotions in check.
