“I’ve missed you, baby.” We took a minute to catch our breaths. Alex pulled back a bit as his gaze raked my face. He caressed my cheek with his thumb.
“I’ve missed you, too, daddy.”
And there. With just one kiss, I melted in his arms. I have indeed forgiven him and have consigned everything to oblivion. All the pain and anxiety went away.
