special package

“I brought a package for you, Paolo.” she grinned, wider than usual, and Sebastian, who noticed it, couldn't help but smile slightly. “We caught him, he is a street thug who is also a hitman.” Sebastian tossed the package in the middle, in front of the four leaders sitting on their chairs — all of them smiling with satisfaction after seeing the blood—stained state of their prey. “He claimed to be paid by someone from the Rogue Mafia, thinking that Paolo was me — so therefore, I apologize to you for getting you into trouble like this.” Her smile was genuine, apologizing to Paolo, who was sitting in a wheelchair with bandages almost all over his body. No matter how hard she tried to catch the culprit who tortured him, it wouldn't be worth it. “I'm deeply sorry.” She and Sebastian purposely wandered around town in the early hours of the morning looking for him. They decided that after Sebastian managed to find where he used to be and calculated to catch him perfectly — he wouldn't see them coming for him. They have a lot of work waiting to be done, but she refuses to do it until the culprit who tortured Paolo is found and gets what he deserves — that way she can rest easy every day. Paolo, on the other hand, looks displeased with this — his lips form a smile, but his eyes harbor something else. It didn't escape the sight of Sebastian, who had been watching him intensely. His analytical skills were superior to even Giuliana's. “Thank you, Giuliana.” such a kind word, but why can his eyes hold so much hatred? “That is not a problem, thanks to Sebastian — he has done his job really well,” she said as she turned to, side, at Sebastian, who was now smiling mysteriously at her. “My lady, you're too good at praising — we succeeded because of the strategy you devised, in case you forgot.” They giggled softly, until their eyes narrowed. Really, their chemistry is stronger than anything and sometimes the bond they have made so many people jealous. The strong bond between the two of them was closer than anyone else because they had known since childhood — technically, Sebastian was the one who taught him a lot and that was simply because his father was the one who had been in charge of her education since she was young. His father was a genius and Sebastian was blessed with the same abilities, so sometimes he took his father's place to teach her anything — a long time together makes his loyalty unquestionable. “Good job, Lady Giuliana.” She was checking the documents on her desk, then rested her back on the back of the chair, comforting herself because of the fatigue that hit — she didn't rest for almost twenty—four hours, but didn't want to rest in her room because of the disturbing uneasy feeling. “Don't call me that, other people might hear — walls have eyes and ears, you have to be careful.” the warning was no joke and Sebastian knew it well. “They're starting to suspect me because of the identity I'm hiding and even if the Darcio family can protect me, they won't be able to protect me forever.” “I know.” He replied quietly, “Also, I think someone poured gasoline on the fire that was already burning.” Oh, Sebastian noticed that too. “Glad that you noticed that too, Sebastian.” She replied and read an opened file that was resting on her thighs. “We must be careful from now on.” He gave her a blank look. “Understood, My Lady.” . “Giuliana.” It’s Cameron Jackson. “Yes, Sir?” He suddenly came to her like this along with her accomplice, Daniel. Which is very suspicious, they don't usually bother visiting his residence, which is quite a distance from their wing in this manor. “We have something to discuss.” Oh. ““Forgive us for coming so suddenly.” she gave a small smile as Sebastian poured chamomile tea for them both. “Oh, it's chamomile — I'm sorry Giuliana, but are you under pressure and stress?” Yes, he is. The Orphic's job is not an easy one, being their advisor has indeed earned him a lot of privileges. But on the other hand, his work also sometimes burdens him — there is no time for vacation and his work also knows no time. And Sebastian is still responsible for his health, even though he is equally busy with him. So, Chamomile tea is an alternative to make him relax a little. “I'd be lying if I said no, because sometimes I get overwhelmed with time—consuming work and it makes me tired — luckily Sebastian takes good care of me, so I never get sick.” Falling ill for someone like her seemed like a lot of trouble later on and as much as possible, she and Sebastian took their health seriously. “Everything is thanks to him.” Her and Sebastian's eyes met, signaling him something he perfectly knew about but kept his mouth shut tightly. “Ah, you two seem to complement each other — the perfect mix since each one of you is so skilled.” “Thank you.” Again, she smiled until her cheeks were hurting. “ So what brings you—” Cameron's gaze held hers. “But no matter how perfect you’re for each other, both of you still have a weakness — a fatal weakness if I might say.” Oh, so that was the reason he came to her. Her lips curved into an arrogant smile, then crossing one leg to the other — she would never be afraid because of this and she must be able to protect herself from something like that. “And?” “Such an arrogant young lady for just a mere Consigliere — alright, I'm not going to make it more complicated. Step down from your position as our Consigliere and let someone else fill your empty seat.” he said straight to the point without fear, “Aren't you greedy enough to fill two Consigliere positions at once?”
