I lay in the tub on the hotel terrace when I returned. The warm water slowly brought my body temperature back to normal. I leaned against the edge of the tub and looked up at the sky illuminated by the twinkling shiny lights.
Daley stepped into the bathtub n***d, leaned over me. His usual calm voice lingered behind me.
“Are you at peace now?”
“Yes, I felt a kind of peace I had never experienced before.”
