Later that evening, I found Ivy sitting by the window in her chambers, her eyes distant as she stared out into the night. The weight of everything she’d been through was visible on her face—the loneliness, the fear, the uncertainty of her future. I wasn’t sure how to broach the subject, but I had to try.
