Amidst all of the surprises of the day, Akiko hadn’t even thought about getting to this point. She wanted to give her mate a ring she designed in her original plans, but Jamie had planned the day, and she’d had no idea. Her heart fell, and she felt terrible for not thinking about this. He’d told her more than once that he planned on asking to mark her on this trip, but she’d just been so focused on him not edging her anymore and his Christmas present, she hadn’t thought about a formal ceremony.
