Delilah's POV I jolted awake, disoriented and groggy, and grabbed my phone from my nightstand. Just past noon. I'd managed maybe four hours of sleep. "I'm awake," I called back, my voice rough. "Mom and Dad already left for the restaurant," Mateo's voice joined his brother's. "You're riding with us. Oh, and Mom wanted us to remind you to grab her emergency makeup kit. She forgot it." My stomach dropped. Of course they knew about the makeup kit. They'd probably been there when Mom mentioned it yesterday. "Where is it?" I asked through the door, not wanting to open it and face them yet. "She said it's in her bathroom somewhere," Dante replied, his tone carrying that edge of amusement that always meant trouble.
