"Enough." Margaret's voice cut through. "I've heard enough. Delilah, based on witness testimony and the severity of the incident, I'm formally suspending you from the healing center for two weeks. During that time, I'll be conducting a full investigation into whether you were under the influence and whether you're fit to continue in a medical training environment."
"No. Please. I need that job. I need—"
"The decision is final," Margaret said. "If the investigation clears you, we can discuss your return. But given the circumstances, I cannot in good conscience allow you to continue working with patients and medical supplies."
