A loud crash sounded through the air, and I did not need much more to pull me out of my sleep. It seemed to me like I was not the only one who had been caught off guard by the noise, because Matthew sat upright, right along with me. I could feel my heart starting to beat quite rapidly as my fear grabbed a hold of me, but I quickly pushed it to the back of my mind. Nothing was going wrong.
