I woke up at 4 AM. Despite sleeping on Emily's couch, I had managed to get comfortable rest since it was spacious enough.
After washing my face and tying my hair in a messy bun, I went to the kitchen to make breakfast. Cooking always calmed my nerves, especially after last night.
Once breakfast was ready, I decided to go for a morning jog to clear my head. I left a note on the dining table, locked up Emily's apartment, and headed for the elevator. I stretched my arms as I put my earbuds in.
Nathan's voice from last night still echoed in my mind, especially the crushing moment when I heard Sophia in the background. Even though we had no relationship anymore, he had promised to wait for me. He had told me he loved me.
