CHAPTER TWENTY BOMBSHELL AMBER’S POV The house across the street doesn’t beckon me the way it used to. It stands there, quiet and cold, no longer feeling like home. The warmth it once radiated is long gone. The laughter, the comfort, the certainty, it all seemed to have evaporated the moment I stepped back into my own house yesterday. Now, my feet drag.
