Zyra POV I should leave, that thought follows me all the way down the path, sharp and sensible and completely ignored. My feet slow on their own and then it stops. I stand near the side of the academic building where the shadow of the wall cuts through the sunlight, hidden enough not to be obvious, close enough to still see the field through the iron fence. This is ridiculous, I know it but my body apparently does not because my stomach feels strange. It is light and unsteady, like something alive is fluttering beneath my ribs. Butterflies, actual butterflies, I grip the edge of my skirt so tightly the fabric wrinkles in my fist. “No,” I whisper to myself. No to this unwanted feeling, No to the reason for it and No to the memory replaying in my head no matter how hard I try to shove
