For a moment, Anne was surprised by the abrupt invitation, still, a small smile bloomed on her lips as she stood up, “With pleasure, princess.”
Zala scoffed, “Don’t get like that with me.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Anne shrugged and called in a servant to take the rest of the food away. She didn’t push Zala even though the princess barely ate. Anne helped her change before the two left the room. Although she had only taken a step outside her room, Zala couldn’t help the breathe she took.
“Indeed, staying locked up inside is not my cup of tea.” She commented quietly to herself. She felt as if the heavy weight on her chest had lightened a bit. It was easier to breathe and wasn't so stifling as it was inside.
