CHAPTER 25
Penrys was waiting in front of the compound with her entire party when Luveri arrived, with almost all the wizards crowding behind her.
She motioned Luveri to stay where she was, then she opened the ruined outer gate and stood at the inner one. “Elkif!” she called, and the woman stalked out of the schoolroom, and surveyed the mob outside with a bleak expression.
“We’re going to use the front two buildings. I want all of you to pick one of the other buildings while we do it, and wait there.”
Elkif nodded silently and headed for the one nearest the river, and Luveri sent three men in blue robes, armed with spears, in through the gate to go with her. Guards, Penrys assumed.
