Daerget’s complaint faded into the background for Najud. He hadn’t quite realized how much more valley there was in Glymbeod upstream from Elkif’s village, the last significant mark on the map. He’d hoped to stumble onto something useful west of there, but what if everything he was looking for was to the east instead? They would have wasted all that time with the detour in support of their story.
