The wedding party was louder than before when I walked back into the hall. People were still dancing and cheering. To everyone else in the room, it was a perfectly happy night. But to me, the entire world had just completely ended.
I was not the same woman who left this table an hour ago.
I stared at the hallway doors and waited.
I sat there for one entire hour.
It was the longest, most painful hour of my entire life. Every single minute felt like a knife twisting deep inside my stomach. I knew exactly where Theo was, and who he was with.
Finally, the doors opened.
