I paced to and fro, just outside the delivery room while Vasilios stood next to the glass door like a statue with his arms on his chest. He quietly followed me with his olive green eyes. It’d been an hour but Sarah was still not able to deliver the baby. I heard others would even take a lot of hours before the baby would come out to the world.
“What can I do to keep you calm, Mahalia?” he finally asked.
