Lita entered the house with trepidation. Her father’s car was in the yard but she hadn’t heard from him or Corry since she’d left them at Baker’s the night before. She’d considered staying at Diarmid’s but the need to go home and get clean clothing and a bit of perspective outweighed her desire to avoid her father or Corry doing whatever they could be doing. Diarmid hadn’t been exaggerating when he’d said he wanted an entire day of her. He’d kept her in the bed until nearly three in the afternoon.
