Lillie walked over to me and handed me something. “Here try this, it may be able to help some” she told me concerned. I opened my hand to see a pair of ear buds. I put them in as soft music was playing. “Thank you Lillie” I told her. She placed a warm blanket over me. I closed my eyed and listened to the music. It helped to muffle out the screams a little bit. Some was better than nothing though.
I woke up to my grandma changing the dressings all over my body. They were healing but very slowly and a few of them were still bleeding a lot. Hannah came over to apply more ointment and poured that burning liquid on the ones that were still bleeding heavily.
