  Paige's POV   I felt awkward in Steve's tight hug, his familiar scent of storm-soaked oak forest and expensive cologne enveloping me.My wolf Tiana growling softly in discomfort. I was the one who pulled away and took a single step back, my heightened senses picking up on his disappointment.   "I'll cook your lunch, Steve. I'm sure you haven't eaten anything."   He smiled bitterly, his hazel-green eyes dulled with sorrow. "I'm fine, Paige."   I shook my head firmly. "I'm not leaving yet. I need to make sure that you're really fine."
