"I didn't know you're Noah's ex-mate. He never mentioned you to me—" he paused and laughed sarcastically. "Oh right. He hates me, so we're not close."
I blinked multiple times as I glanced at Nate who's playing in the playground, his dark hair catching the sunlight much like Asher's does.
"He hates you?"That's given since he kicked him out of their father's company.
Neo smiled bitterly. "He hates me because my mom was our dad's mistress. I lived on the outskirts of pack territory while he was raised as the golden child, the heir. He always saw me as a threat to his position even though no one acknowledged me. He doesn't even want to talk to me, and it got worse after after dad left a last will that appointed me as the new Alpha and CEO of the Hanson Group."
