The day before my engagement with Mr. Monroe, the news about it roared like thunder. I don't know what's the big deal about it but it was all over the news and the internet. I thought it would be private. Papa assured me that it would be private, so seeing my face on the news shocked me real good. I don't know what to say. Surely, my cousins already heard it.
My phone suddenly rang. And yeah… Speaking of cousins.
