Zephyr POV
The restaurant was beautiful. Zane had reserved a table by the window for us.
"Happy anniversary," he said, raising his glass.
I clinked mine against his. "Happy anniversary."
We'd been together, survived hell, lost people and still rebuilt our lives.
"I'm glad we came," I said.
"Me too."
I looked out the window and the view was breathtaking with the streetlights looking like tiny stars from my view.
For a moment, I felt peaceful then the door opened.
The moment Matilda walked in, my entire body went cold. She stood in the entrance, scanning the room until her eyes landed on me then her lips curled because before my very eyes, she pulled out a knife.
