Zane POV
The baby started crying loudly and frightened by her shouting.
Zephyr looked down and the love that had been in her eyes disappeared as she held the baby out to Matilda.
"Take him," she screamed. "Take him before I drop him."
Matilda took the baby quickly and left the room probably to return him to his real mother while she turned back to me as tears rolled down her face without stopping.
"Tell me the truth," she whispered. "Right now, tell me the truth."
I took a deep breath. No more lies. No more deception.
"That wasn't your baby," I said. "Your baby was taken by Havic during the attack, we tried to stop him but he had help so we were basically powerless and I couldn't stop him."
