Zephyr POV
The next time I opened my eyes, I woke up screaming. Zane was beside me instantly. "Zephyr, what's wrong"
"Where were you?" The words ripped out of me. "When Havic took him? Where the f**k were you?"
"Fighting the other vampires..."
"You chose me!" I grabbed the lamp from the nightstand, threw it at him but he dodged and it shattered against the wall. "I told you to save the baby. You promised!" I sobbed. I didn't know why I was crying, I just wanted to get rid of the gnawing feeling in my chest.
"There were too many..."
I threw everything I could reach, from books to glass. "And then you lied to me for a week!" He just stood there and took it, he didn't even try to defend himself once and that made it worse.
