Cat had already wrapped the Malcolm MacIntosh investigation, sending her findings off to the 9th Precinct in record time. The bullet came back clean, the gun it came from free of priors. Without fingerprints or any kind of DNA on the body, she was forced to leave the rest to the detectives. That irked her, the fact she couldn't sweep in and solve the case for them.
