"I heard you wanted to see me?" Brandon announced, walking into my office, and I peeled my eyes open, pushing away from Alistair's lap as I sat up.
He had insisted I stop working to take a nap. His initial idea was for me to leave the office and retire to the room, but I knew if I had left then, he'd stop me from coming back to the office for the rest of the day and I wouldn't be able to go against his words. So, instead of leaving the office, I told him that I wanted to take a nap with my head on his lap, which he agreed to without question.
"I did. How are you, and your mate?" I asked, turning my body to face him properly.
"He's fine, rounding up work at the office. How are you and the rest of the family doing?" He asked, turning one of the chairs around to sit.
