PAIN!
Pain compared to none I have ever felt before pierced through my body in a rippling mass as the doctor cut my stomach open. The wolfsbane should've numbed me but it didn't. I was wide awake, even though I just wanted to shut my eyes and pretend like none of this was happening.
I couldn't do that. I tried to ignore it, yet the crushing pain from each cut through my skin had the wheels in my head turning at high speed. All the Wolf's Bane did was make it easier for Oscar to cut me open, it didn't dull my senses nor knock me unconscious.
