It was three days after the king and queen left for their honeymoon when Sir Luke summoned the elders to have a trial for the Lokey family. For the first time since their arrest, the Lokeys and their followers were confident about their prospects. Without their supposedly bewitched king, who was on a rampage to impress his queen at their cost, they felt that no one would dare go against them. It was a few minutes after the court resumed that they realised how wrong they were.
