Elias stayed a little longer, but after a while he stood up from the chair. He stretched and gave me a small smile. "I'm going home. I'll see you in the morning."
I closed my notebook and nodded. "Thanks for staying."
He walked to the door and paused. "Remember what I said. Think about your birthday. And do not act like you do not want anything."
I laughed a little. "Fine. I will think about it."
He gave me one more look, then left. I sat for a moment, staring at my notes. My phone rang on the desk. I picked it up and saw Luca’s name on the screen.
