Suzanna's smile widened, revealing perfect white teeth that reminded Isabelle of a predator's. "Summer's weakness isn't her inability to shift. It's her daughter."
"Aria?" Isabelle's brows furrowed. "Alexander would kill anyone who touched his precious heir."
"That's why we don't touch her," Suzanna explained, her voice dropping to a whisper. "We simply... create a situation where Summer proves herself unfit as a mother. Where her human weakness puts the pack's future at risk."
"And how exactly would we manage that?"
Suzanna reached into her clutch, pulling out a small vial filled with clear liquid. "This compound was developed by my... associates. It mimics the symptoms of silver poisoning in wolves—particularly young ones with undeveloped immune systems."
