After getting dressed, Gabriel and I made our way towards the infirmary to visit Gloria, who had just gotten a heart attack. No one knew for sure what happened, so Dr. Brandon was there giving her a thorough check-up. I could tell that this was getting to Gabriel, since he hadn't shown any form of emotions after we left our bedroom.
It's like he switched. One minute, he was showing me who I belonged to, and the next, he was acting as if I weren't relevant. It hurts a lot to see him ignoring me like this, but I won't argue with him because I understand why he's like this.
“Gabriel, Leah, thank the goddess you're here. I don't even know how she ended up like this. We were walking, and she told me that she didn't feel good.” Lucien said, his eyes were wide with worry about his mate.
