EMORY'S POV
Tonight is His Highness' Alpha Ceremony, which means another early morning for me. I needed to wake up extra early to help finalize the decorations in the grand hall before heading off to school.
The only consolation was that the ceremony fell on a Friday night, giving me the weekend to catch up on homework and, hopefully, some sleep.
It was only second period, and I was already running on fumes. My head felt heavy, my limbs sluggish, and I wasn’t sure how I was going to make it through the night without collapsing. A miracle was what I needed.
"Why don't you just go home and rest?" Drake said beside me, his brows furrowed with concern. His soft, steady voice cut through the haze of exhaustion clouding my mind. "I’ll let them know you’re not feeling well."
