"They don’t know what’s wrong with him."
A wave of concern crashed over me as Geller's words sank in. My gaze drifted back to Dad, and this time, I couldn’t hold it together. The tears came, unbidden and unstoppable, as sobs racked my chest. Dad has always been a pillar of strength for me, my unwavering rock. Seeing him like this, vulnerable and motionless, was almost too much to bear. Not knowing what was wrong only amplified my fear.
Suddenly, I heard the soft scrape of a chair being pulled closer. Geller sat beside me, his hand moving gently over my back in a soothing gesture.
I turned to him, my vision blurred by tears. “I can’t lose him too,” I sobbed, my voice breaking. “He’s all I have.”
