Mauri POV
After Seth compelled Mom she stated she wasn’t feeling well and I could see it in her wobbly footsteps. After walking mom home, I promised her and Demon that I would spend the night with them, once mom rested and was feeling better. “Dinner and sleepover”, I said as cheerily as I could manage. I had to lie and tell them that mom had fallen and hit her head pretty hard and does not remember anything. Luckily, they believed me. I didn’t want dad to find out that Seth compelled her. I knew he would be livid if he discovered Seth was playing games with his bride’s mind.
